Hello, I received and deposited my Amazon check in US dollars into my savings account on 13th Sept 2010. Over one month has passed, since then and the check still hasn't cleared. One month is too much! How much time does it take for Amazon checks to clear? Thanks.
In some countries it takes a few days, in some a month+. For my first check, in retarded country, when they didn't know what Amazon is, it took them a big long month. Makes you really upset when you know more than the person in the bank.. I luckily have an account in Austria where it takes a few days. Here in Slovenia, I'm probably one out of 10 that receive Amazon checks.
If your paying a foreign cheque into your account (which I suspect you are) there is usually more than one way to do it. There is here in the UK anyway when I used to pay dollar cheques into my sterling account. Basically you can have the money quicker but if it is reversed, you pay hefty fines. Or you can wait the 1 month+ for "clearing". @tarum - I love Slovenia, I have been to Rogla for snowboarding and Ljubljana
Hah, what a small world (and even smaller Slovenia ) Indeed, Rogla is nice and we have many beutiful places.
well buddy, it seems you are from india, it will take around 35-45 days to clear this bcoz you banker will send this check to US fo clearnce. so it will take time.
Contact your bank and ask why it is taking that long and what is their normal waiting time for foreign cheques to clear.
In India, it took me 24 days to get Amazon check cleared. Over more than a month seems to be very long period. I think you should check with bank if it doesn't get cleared in couple of days.
