Submit your blog sitemap to Google Web Master tools for Indexing your blog pages.

I agree with U-Tag & Mightee. You may also try pinging it. There are many free ping services out there. Pingler, Ping-O-Matic, PingMyBlog. Pinging has always helped my posts get indexed a bit faster. One more thing... If you are using wordpress you can grab a list of ping sites (you can find really good lists by searching google) then go to Setting ===> Writing and then at the bottom where it says,"Update Service" past the list of ping services in there. That will make the process automatic every time you update or post new content.

    It depends.

I've seen a post get indexed in minutes, others in hours. Many factors come to play.

Did you ping the search engine after updating your post?
Indexing time depends on availability of your web page to the search engine. If you have thrown your backlinks on popular websites, which frequently get crawled, you probably get indexed fast.
