Yesterday I created blog with article about very specific keyword which has only 4150 search results. I pinged the blog via pingomatic and now I am wondering: How soon I should be expecting my blog to show anywhere in the Search Engine Results (preferably google ones) Thanks in advance for any answers!
it should be almost insant for popular blogs but for new ones it might take time. you may try the following 1) add blog to digg 2) add it to DP sig 3) Setup a sitemap on google webmaster this should make it to google faster than anything else
thanks for the tips however I will leave it alone for 2-3 days and see what will happen and then post here
There is no way to know for sure. I have my oldest blog on blogger and when I post, it takes sometimes days to hit the SERPs. On my newer blogs it takes minutes. I have done the same thing on all my blogs in the way of SEO. However, for some reason, I can not get Google to come quicker on that one blog. Sometimes, Stumble Upon helps but not all the time. I would do the above suggestions and Stumble because all those will help anyway. I would also build a few links to it. Otherwise, you just have to wait.
Acquiring one or two links to the blog will help you. I had a new blog appear in the SERPS in less than 8 hours recently. All I did was link to it from a directory I own.
i will wait because I am curious if new blog could rank well for phrase which has only 4000+ search results. If it won't rannk within few days then I will move into further actions like the ones you mentioned.
The word "fast" exists and will always do. Good SEO = Fast results However, the word "guarantee" doesn't exist in SEO dictionary - Submit to Social Bookmarking sites - Double check if your page title is best optimised
I'm no fan of blogger, When i edited the settings in the backend of my blog so that it will show up in the SERP it took up to 2 weeks for it to show, and thinking blogger is owned by google this should be much faster. I dont advice any one to use blogger for a PRO blog, you should use Worldpress or Joomla! Or any other powerfull CMS.
