How much time do you spend on approving sites?

If you have run more than one directory, how much time will you spend?

I need more than 5 hours per day to keep my free directory away from spam and anyone else need so much time?

holy crap, why dont you consider making the submission paid, like 99 cents.... that will keep spammers awya

 

Would not that keep away not only spammers, but a lot of other people?

Actually all new sites that are submitted to me are reviewed very fast. But most of the sites submitted 1 month, 2 months, 3 months ago are still waiting to be reviewed, the drowned in the waiting queue!!!!

 

My new direcotry has 0 submissions so far but i dont mind, it only can mean more paid submissions once the stupid green bar starts working

 

My directory is paid,but also full of spam everyday.
I have to delete them everyday.

 

I spend probably 20 minutes on 100 links a day.

I insta-delete about 40 without even looking at them.

 

I have lot of directories. And most of the are paid. and have image verification in place.

The maximum time I would spend in the admin is 2 minutes per week.

That also I am getting the money in return for the listing that's why.

 

Wow, 5 hours a day is a lot of time. Try to turn on the image verification to reduce spam.

There's no straight answer to this on a per-site basis, because it very much depends. Obvious spam just takes a few seconds to delete. But for sites that I will eventually approve, and anything that's borderline, I will usually spend anything between 1 and 10 minutes. And if it's interesting, I might stop and read something on the site as well. I don't approve anything without looking at a minimum of 3 pages.

 

30 minutes to 1 hours depending on the submission rate.
But I am also getting lot of spam submissions.
Is there a way to stop them, because it becomes time consuming to visit those spam sites and disapprove them.

 

Image verification is enable but there are 100-300 submission per day.
