2-3 hours a day on various link building methods and another 3 on site content and improvement, then I run the business the rest of the time

All day every day... It's what I do..

But for personal stuff, try to spend 20-30 minutes a day picking up some quality links if you are not a professional SEO. It adds up quick and Google loves slow, consistent linkbuilding.

I would say 2-3 hours a day but once a new site is up and running then maybe just 1 hour.

None! I find other methods to get traffic much more effective. I just let the links grow on their own.

I've been working on SEO for my site for the past few weeks, it's taken multiple hours per day and it's paying off. Daily uniques visitors are soaring, bounce rate is decreasing rapidly and average time on site is just over 10 minutes. Lots of work...

I try to put in a good solid 2 hours per day. That doesn't count coffee breaks or going to the restroom. I also try to switch it up to keep it from getting monotonous. I am actually at work for 8 hours, but I come here and talk every 15 minutes or so, read a blog, or whatever. Those things really aren't productive at all. But, they break up the boring link building and things so that I don't get burned out. I try to accomplish a few things each day, it makes me feel better that I know I'm at least hopefully making some progress.

Actually, spending time for SEO solely means spending time creating quality inbound links to your site or blog. So, I spend some 2 hours daily to create links. I always prefer quality backlinks and therefore, I could create only some 10 or 15 links.

I spend a couple hours on building links to my blog. Would love to become a SEO professional and write for others. Still trying to break into that industry.

It depends on if the website is new or not. If it's new, then I'll focus on just that website. If not, then I would just do some blog commenting or something that don't take too much time.
