It take 24 hours for google take your site.

GA takes only 24 to activate, After putting it (GA code) on site (pages) you have to verify it for tracking site.

 

I would suggest removal and re-installation carefully following the advice of the above

 

Yes,I agree that after 12 hours GA show your site traffic status if your GA account active.

 

Google analytics take only 24 hours to show your data ..if you are not able to see it then go in edit portion and edit the code you will get the problem and recover it ....
