It should only take 24 hours.
It obviously hasn't been installed properly - run it through sitescanga http://www.sitescanga.com/
and you'll get a better idea of the problem

Does Google Analytics say that it detects their code on your website?

    sign in WP admin>widgets>text/html box>code inserted>save widget>Refresh.
i searched for plupins in WP but no Google analytic i found so i added it manually

Well, first of all there is a WP plugin for Analytics I use it. You can search for analytics and it will come up with like 5 or 6 plugins for you to use. Then you should be good to go. Some bit of advice when it comes to changing anything...always make a back up...I learned the hardway

    Hello friend,

In normal way,Google analytics takes up to 24 hours to generate data but it may sometimes takes longer time to appear data in your account. If it does not show any data after 24 hours, you will have to check the goal URL have the correct tracking code installed? and any pageviews for the goal URL in the top content report and create a filter to rewrite the request URL field.

make sure you put analytics code within the <head></head> tags of the page as google recommends. otherwise it may not work.

i use Google Analytics for WordPress version 4.0.4. It links directly with your analytics account and takes care of everything.

    Greg,

Remove the code that you put in earlier. At least this way you are on the safe side. Not sure if having the code twice will hurt, but why take the chance.

    good news every one
i have found the plug in and installed it
like i was wrong about simple put it in the body and it,ll automatically picks the data like in blogger, put the code in a new html widget and it works but not in WP
first removed the old java script code
    then install the plug in
then it,ll appear in settings window
    clicked the Google analytics
it prompts weather to enter the UA-***** code or automatic
i entered it manually to save any time or to avoid to mix with my other account

so i,ll give you folks the report tomorrow
    see ya

    sure
i first removed the old code then done the whole prosess
now i refreshed the analytic and in status it shows "tracking installed Waiting for data" for one blog
for the second it shows "receiving data"
that means one blog is ok now let see what goes for the first one
    thanks anyway

I had some frustration when I started using google analytics, "tracking installed" and no data. It can take some playing before it falls into place. Not sure about the 24 hours, been a while since I start one but think it was more like 48 hours, could be wrong it that. Hope you got it sorted.

    hi smellypunks
i have successfully installed it on my WP blogs
yes it takes some time to collect data but in my case the code was installed (that,s what status says) "waiting for data"
it keep showing this for 5 days so i raise a question in this thread, and i got the answer by gvannorman's
and so my problem is solved
    Thank you again every one

It may take up to a day before you can view your stats.
If you can't see the statistics after 48 hours, please make sure that your domain is connected to Wix.
Top reasons for Google Analytics not working:
    1. Your Google Analytics code is not properly inserted in 'Settings" in your Wix editor.
    2. Not enough time has lapsed. It may take up to 48 before you can view your stats.
    3. Your domain is not properly connected to Wix.
    4. You have embedded or redirected your Wix creation.

I should start showing up in the next 12 hours or so if you have installed the GA code properly
