How much this guy makes?

I found this website in Google AdWords content search: http://www.infoscouts.com/

As it seems this website is fully designed for Google AdSense revenue. Even though it lack a PageRank, the Alexa toolbar shows 25K which is not bad at all. Therefore, my question is how much this guy makes (potentially) and is it worth to go in such business? Please let me know. I am looking forward to opinions from guys who had similar experience.

I don't think he makes much.
No PageRank, and no pages indexed by google, and only 12 indexed by Yahoo.
I would say he has many days where he makes zilcho.

It all depends on how much traffic he gets doesn't it? You could have the best adsense integration, but if your only source of traffic is from MSN (such as myself) than you will be lucky to clear the $100/month mark

I guess it should gain approximately this amount. It should have a massive traffic

It has no backlinks on google and Alexa is highly unreliable. There is a program on the market that can make your Alexa ranking anything you want by using different proxy's to register hits. There is absolutely no way it is doing $2,000 a day.

can you show a example of a site that is exploiting alexa? I have found it to be marginally true.

Alexa has some impressive stats on this site, but I can't see where they come from. Unless the site runs some sort of offline marketing campaign, it's almost as if the traffic is faked (using alexa stats at least)

Alexa is highly unreliable to begin with. I have a site that goes from under 50,000 ranking to over 2 million depending on how Alexa feels that day - yet the sites traffic is pretty stable - so I know first hand that their rankings are not reliable.

I have no way of knowing if other sites rankings are just bad data from Alexa or if they are using programs such as r a n k i n g b o o s t e r.

Huh? Am I missing something. Alexa toolbar shows my traffic ranking as 1,303,230 yet I am getting very little traffic.

I think that he makes pennies. A lot of keywords are very competitive so there are a little of chance to make a fortune from this.

He's unlikely to be making very much at all.
I see little or no IBL's, pages indexed etc etc.

It's an interesting idea for a site though, similar to somthing I'm working on. I personally think you need a lot more content than he's got. I'm certainly not going through the trouble of creating 100's of pages with no useful content. I'd rather add 5 or 10 pages of relevant content then move onto the next topic - ok it takes a lot longer to build the site, but I think it would be a more usable resource to users at the end of it.

There is a guy who sold a similar site on sitepoint last week, except it had 1.2 million indexed pages in google. He claimed it was making $50 to $100 a month from adsense.

I think he posted a screen shot. It was put up for sale a week ago Saturday, I believe. It sold for around $4,000 so I sure hope the buyer confirmed it.

So, getting this thread somewhat back on topic, If that site could sell for such a high multiple of it's yearly income, then this site(the originally posted one) might be worth a lot. Not in adsense income, but in selling it.

    Good information,

    tom

Not enough information to know what it is worth, but I think there is a big difference between a site with 1.2 million indexed pages and a site with zero - especially for the coop. The site that sold was also a one of a kind custom script.
