I have someone who is looking to build a website for listing his properties and some personal information to enhance his business. I have never built a website for anyone other than myself, so I'm not sure exactly what to charge. I would need to charge upfront for actually building the website, but I would also be required to update the site pretty regularly (maybe once per week) for new listings, etc. I think the best bet would be to just charge a flat monthly fee. I would use a WP blog to run the site itself and enhance it with real estate news RSS feeds and make it a truly professional-looking site. What would be a realistic amount to charge up front for the actual website and how much to charge in the long run (as a monthly fee + every listing added, just a flat monthly fee)?
The best choice is charge by work. Website can charge for a flat fee. But when come to update the website then you should charge by work basic.
I always ask for a 50% deposit upfront. Where a site is updated on a regular basis (I have one client who I do updates for several times a week), for this I charge per hour and bill at the end of the month. This works great for me and the client. Dee
Realtors are paid when houses sell. You will realize your best return if your fees are related to the sales of the underlying homes. Don't expect realtors to pay you when they don't have a related sale. They are bad that way. Tom
Do you think something around 1/2% of sale price is reasonable for a direct lead? $200,000 property = $1000.
