I happen to own a domain name of small business because two companies operating in different states had the same company name. Now that I am no longer using it, I would like to sell it to the other company operating under the hyphenated version. The question is, what should I charge them for it? I dont want to gouge a small business owner but, I would like to compensated so... what to do? The domain in question is coburnconstruction.com but, the question is a more general one for others in the future. What should you charge for nameRealEstate(.com), nameCleaners(.com), or nameDesign(.com). Thanks in advance.
The price of anything is only what someone is willing to pay for it, we all know that. The question here is, what should an educated small business owner be willing to pay to secure their company's exact match domain name.
Depends on the domain age and PR. Charge based on the budget they have. If you want to be more polite, ask what price seems fair for them.
What price should be fair to a small business owner? This domain is 12 years old. It has no notable PR.
Based on the age and the exact match I say 300 - 500 if the owner is not desperate. If the owner really really wants it , I say 1k+
