i have this website aged 2 years. it's about learning how to sing. very niche, difficult to even get solo ads for it. most of my traffic is from google. the site gets 500-600 uniques/month. around 40 unique articles that i wrote myself here are the income stats: 3158 impressions 79 clicks 4 leads $719.70 sales this is for november i have just started collecting emails for listbuilding with only 3 subs so far i want to sell it off on flippa to get cash and move on to a more profitable niche anyone with experience flipping sites on flippa? any help would be much appreciated. thanks
Flippa sucks. They are a bunch of scammers selling autoblogs and other trash with fake traffic and fake earnings they will probably fake bid your site and take your listing fees.
Try this website: http://www.websitebroker.com/ Founded by two attorneys from California, seems like a very reputable site.
First you should place the name of the site when you advertise it. Second why do you want to sell a site that bring so much money? Usually you ask for 10 month revenue.
I would say 6X Monthly gross income or so. That seems to be the going rate right now. Depending on the niche or source of income you may get a little more or less.
Wow, I am surprised to hear this. I have been discouraged to see businesses sold for 12x monthly incomes (1x annual income) when previously it was 2-3x annual income. Though, as I think about it, this means that there are some real bargains out there!
I've sold a lot of sites since I started back in 2006. I rarely sell a site LESS than 10-12x monthly revenue. If your site is making around $500 - $700 a month you could fetch up to $7,000 for it.
You are new on DP but have a 2 years old site, and you want to sell a website that made $700 in nov, sound like you want to fool somebody. Come with more details pal!
The only reason that I can think of for a website to only sell .5x annual sales is because there are so many scam website sales out there that a risk factor is being applied to the valuation.
hi, appreciate your concern. here are my answers: 1) i misquoted. $700 in sales, my commissions are more like $65. this is quite consistent 2) no, i'm not really that active in MMO forums. i am active in singing-related forums, however. that's where i get some of my traffic 3) i'm not trying to sell the site here. so no, not fooling anyone. i just wanted to know how if my site has any value at all should i decide to sell it
thanks all for the feedback. although as per my post above, i stated the gross revenue instead of my actual profits. sorry for the confusion. i guess this means i'll have to let it go for a lot less than what we've discussed so far..
