I might sell one of my website soon and I was wondering how much should I expect from the sale if the site earns 300-400$ a month.. (5000 uniques a day and PR2) And which is the best payment method I should opt for that will work in India? Any help would be highly apprecaited..
$300 a month will probably get you to sell it for like around 1K depending on the niche and the security and other intangibles. I would try to find someone who can value website worth and see what they say.
lol I didn't know Youtube.com was pr2 and earning 300-400$ a month hehehehaha Anyways best to sell at 3-6 months ROI and or a little more (due to it's traffic)as this seems to be the sites strongest area of virtual equity. If it had strong Pagerank and harbored the same commercial earning model then you could obviously command more of it's sale. Good luck with it~! ROOFIS
If it is earning $400/month (equal to Rs 20,000 Indian currency) is good amount from a website. Why do you want to sell it. If you want to sell it you should ask about 10 times more than per month earning.
First you have to tell me your domain name after analysis of that i can give u the right worth of your domain
seriously if i were the OP, i would keep that site and make more with the same technique, i don't see why anyone would sell it. $300-400 a month isn't exactly small amount
Hey it will all depend on what the website is relevant to. What kind of niche or things are on the website. The prices can vary. Also the best way to get paid to India would be paypal. Hope this helps!
A 1 1/2 ago the rule was 12x- 18x monthly earnings. Now, based on info pasted into dnScoop a measly $1,100. If this true, then it's a buyers' market. Break even for a new owner... four months? Doesn't sound right.
Thanks for the replies.. The reason why I'm thinking of selling it is because I may not be able to maintain the site as I'm going to be busy with my studies.. Anyway, if it is just 1000$ I'm going to get, better I'll keep it with myself..
Youtube? Youtube isn't worth a dime, at least I wouldn't pay ten cents for a company that lost half a billion dollars last year.
If it's a consistent revenue generator (and you have stats to prove it), revenue x 3-6 months seems really cheap. There are a lot of other factors too though, domain name, type of traffic and where it's coming from, how the revenue is earned, etc (nobody will pay a year worth of revenue for a site that looks like it might die tomorrow). But a solid money making site should have no problem going for at least 10-12 months of profit (I would think).
