Somewhere around $30 would be good provided he gives you complete assistance.

If s/he's going to make a custom theme too (that validates too) something like $150-$200 dollars should be fine. Drupal's a bitch to theme and configure properly, and believe me you wouldn't want a newbie doing this!

    Cheers!

Why not try doing it yourself? Learning curve of drupal is steep but short.

As in my case I usually charge anywhere from $50 - $200. A lot of factors affect my quoting... Like where the client is based, is the site commercial or personal, how many pages, how many modules need to be installed etc (and believe me I'm cheap, this is dp anyway). But if you were to get someone say from drupal paid services section you will get something as high as $500 just for installation and setup.

The only reason why would anyone consider joomla over drupal is because joomla is user friendly and easy to work with than the latter. Great for non-coder type designers. But other than that, performance, scalability, power and functionality, et all Drupal is wayyy much better. You can practically do anything you want with drupal. Some joomla add-ons (modules in drupal) that you might want to use comes with a price, with drupal modules are all free. Just find the right themer/developer you want to work with and you'll be fine. Or you could spend a year or two learning drupal yourself and save a lot of money. ;)

yes installing, but the guy was asking (4 years ago) for setting up a website with a ok design (open to interpretation from the customer= nightmare) and also a bridge with vbulletin, in short you're looking at several hours of work, not for me thank you :)

Pretty cheap prices. good luck with that.

"whats the range i shud pay for a DRUPAL site with a ok design and integrated with vbulliten"

You might want some support with that, if you pay someone cheap they will throw up files on your hosting and when you run into problem they will probably not respond to you.
Then you will be posting "whats the range i should pay for fixing and making work DRUPAL site integrated with vbulliten" lol

Joomla may well be easier, BUT Drupal has far more editing tweaks and far more administration tools available!

Cheap prices - doubt its a from scratch/bespoke jobby!

    All the best...

You don't pay for the software and you want to pay for the instalation? It's a little bit weird. Most of the great hosting sites have one click instalation for all major CMS's... so do it yourself !

Depends on how much special things you need to have configured or perhaps even customized. A very simple Drupal installation can take 1-2 hrs including hosting setup, etc. When you start customizing - my last installation and customization took 3 weeks. So, multiply the hours by the average hourly wage. :)
