Hey guys I received a job offer from an UK based firm. The work involved from my part is web template design only, not coding. They want me to work remotely for a retained monthly fee full time and "the benefit for you working for us on a monthly retainer is that this money is guaranteed each month, even if we just supply you with 1 web design project".The problem is I usually work and charge on project basis and they want me to come back with my best price monthly.Would you help me on this, let me know how much would you charge for a retained monthly fee full time and what should I be aware of? Thanks Ybian
take the last project you worked on and work out how many hours it took then multiply that time to givwe you your monthly charge dont forget to add a few hours profit on too.
Thanks, mate,I have to contact soon a coder to do the job properly! BTW do you happen to know the design rate/hour in the UK? Y
Your best bet is to set price groups as its not likely their going to pay you much if they only have 1 site to give you. Make sure you charge above and beyond your normal project price to determine their seriousness. When I was doing SEO for $500.00 I found a lot of time wasters, now over $1500.00 I find the going much easier and a much more informed aware client base.
Yeh I am totally agree. Your price should be depend on client and you will get client according to your price.
