I'm working on a logo which was intended for personal use, however I have received some interest from various martial artists in the area. http://f-1.deviantart.com/art/Jeet-Kune-Do-Logo-77685248 Its still a WIP. I want to profit off my work, but I also want to be fair to the buyer, but at the time the JKD symbol is a globally recognised symbol in the martial artist industry.
I wouldn't pay $0.50 for it, so you'll have to guess what the local businesses would think it's worth. You could always offer it for $50.
Thanks for that, one of the martial artists im talking to is more at the top of the food chain. The others are known well in their countries but not that well outside it, but all have good connections.
It will vary a lot between designers, also depending on the quality expected by the client. Usually the logo would be designed based on the client's requests, not a pre-made logo being sold to them. $50 for a logo is cheap, $300 is reasonable and for higher you'd better get a great service.
Meh personally thats smoke and mirrors... that design is nice but I would pay more then 30USD for it to be totally honest. I have a few webmasters who might be interested if you want me to give them your card.(I run web hosting company and I would be more then happy to pass your design work along)
you can foward them my portfolio www.onestopclinics.com/larsson.htm Thanks for the suggestion but 30 is far too little.
Good point at this stage its just that, but as I stated before it was a WIP, I still have more ideas for it, I want to personalize it further to the owner. At the moment it isnt too different from the original 1970s JKD symbol. live-cms_com you mentioned providing a good service, what did you mean by that?
I meant for $50 you shouldn't expect much, for $300 the logo should be good and for $1000 it better be amazing, a corporate image rather than a logo. And since your images are the same as the original logo, I take back my comment about Photoshop custom shapes. But it is still a glass effect, which is not professional; a logo should print well in grayscale which yours wouldn't.
I would say $50. Martial arts guy doesn't know photoshop and you do. He is going to have to pay for it, hence the reason he is asking you to do it for him.
What? I think it looks really nice, I'm not 100% sure about the value but I would say somewhere between $100-$200
Could you show us the finished version when you do complete it? It looks very basic right now, but all designs usually start off that way. I couldn't give you a fair price atm.
Yes sure I can that. At the moment I'm going to charge £50, but I'm planning to create a black and white version.
