    HI Dp members...
I developed 1 university web in my country.
Right now I have 1 premium space on exact page .edu pr4.
How much should I charge for this premium link?
I just wanna charge for 6 months or 1 year. Just 1 link for the sponsor.
    Please advice...

    Thanks,
    Reeze

How much you charge depends on your site's stats, not just PR. Ho much traffic are you getting on that site? Where will the ad be displayed and for how long? I suggest you check the rates on sites that are offering ad space so you can get an idea of how much you can charge.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Hi, thanks for all the suggestions.
Fyi, the site not having a heavy traffic. Just purely pr4 with edu domain.
It is one of the high reputation university in my country. But then, new page is created for specific purpose.
And the page is developed by my team. So now, we need sponsor for maintenance.
But we prefer link paid by monthly basis. So it is premium since we just give 1 space only for the sponsored link

like most things in life, it's worth what the next guy is willing to pay for it.
Some times people want links for the traffic or the branding but since you dont have much traffic what you are actually attempting to sell is page rank. Most likely what will happen (google has probably already spidered this site and now knows you are peddling PR which raises red flags all over the place), you'll get several calls/emails now from people offering you ridiculously low prices, ($10 a month ?), and out of 5 emails you get one of them will likely write to g directly saying
"is it all right to buy a link from this site yourpr4page.xxx and the next update PFFFT your little green toolbar turns to white!

You have to accept that there is a certain way you need to announce you're wanting to find a sponsor to be able to offer value. One of those ways is to NEVER ask how much you should charge for a PR4

If you still have a pr4 after the NEXT pr update, (they just did one last week), then email men and I'll give you a couple of suggestions that may help in offering value for the long term

    good luck

@topbob: By your post it does not at all looks like you are new to this forum but why your post count is so low?

Why not you put a affiliate site and link your own product?

    first question
I think I first joined dp like in 2001 then got busy and forgot my logins then again in 2006 (same thing), then I made the decision to start an seo outsourcing service and get out of the retail end and moved to India and started Techndu. I joined DP again in 2007 but over time gave the pswd to managers of the company. Since then most of those employees have moved on and I have no idea what the email or pswd are now.

Ive spent the last two years developing a social media/SE0 management platform and we'll start marketing for new affiliates and resellers after the first of the year and its time for me to shift my focus and start seeing what is going on in the world of SEO. Ive decided to become active in dp and warriors forum, (a member there since 1999) due the size and reach of the two

    Answer to second question
I dont do retail affiliate marketing. Im a business process outsourcing provider to other seo companies and I dont sell links. I understand them probably as well as anyone on the planet and I know what they can and cant do and my company does a LOT of link building but I don't. I just have it done.

I dont have an affiliate site because that's just not my business model. Ive already got my hands full and I just have so much attention span to spend so I have to be a little conservative. I've just been doing this a long time and know a lot of people in the seo/socialmedia community and know where there are some good deals and dont mind telling people where I think the gold is but I let them do their own digging and I NEVER mention people or urls publicly because that shit gets spidered and believe it or not, you cant trust the public not to ruin it for everyone.

will you give that space if the advertiser ask you to submit drugs or date links ? if it is ok , you can charge $100 per month. if the website is related to same niche or general, you can lower the price up to half of it. if your website has low outbond link and it is more than 5 years old you can increase the price 25%.

not to burst your bubbles but EDU links don't have as much demand as it used to few years back. and after penguin update, lot of people are really cautious about buying links. google got lot smarter identifying unnatural or paid links. you have an EDU site and if you get a sponsor who sells used Japanese auto parts or enlargement pills like the guy above, then that will not be a natural link. not only the person buying that link will get in trouble, your site may get penalized by google also for selling links. my advice is, if you must sell links, sell to someone who has a site with the same theme. for example: online degree sites are dime a dozen and that would perfectly match your site theme so that link will be natural.
