How much should I charge for advertising?

How much should I charge for a 728x90 header banner for 1 month on a site that reaches 95,000+ unique visitors monthly? 90% is from search engines. Average pagviews per user is 7.05.

It's in the gaming niche and I am not happy with the way Adsense is paying me.

What would be an appropiate monthly price to charge for a 728x90 header banner?

That depends on how much the advertiser wants to pay. I always ask the advertiser to throw me an offer first. Then I negotiate :)

Why not test different affiliate programs in that ad space? The right affiliate program might make you more money then having a direct advertiser.

I think it depends upon the banner.
If the banner is promoting dog training products, or something else irrelevant, then I wouldn't even have the banner.
Like said above, I would use a different monetizing platform.
If it is relevant, I would get them to commit to at least a 6 month term.
Say they don't get the click thru they were looking for, then in a month, you lost that profit.

But, if it is relevant, I would charge at least $100 for the month, and maybe 75-85 if they lock in for 6 months.

that will be depended on the employee and for the concept of the banners. You must gave your bid i think ranging (40-60$) then he/she will depend on it.
