I have a website with 35.000 monthly pageviews( around 12.000 uniques monthly).
How much should i ask for a 300x300 banner in the top right sidebar?
    Thank you very much!

That's not standard price, ask the price that you think is good enough for you and let the advertiser decide whether they want to buy it or not

    Definitely.

If it's a website related to gambling, the price is going to be a lot different to if the site was a Justin Bieber fansite.

Give us some more detail on the site. Based purely on the traffic figures, you can probably ask $30-$100/mo.

Just try it for the month. Analyze the traffic difference and business profit. After that decide to continue and the budget. This is the only way, because no one can say about future in business.

It depends upon you and your customer's understandings. Try to cash as much as you can

Also, don't forget the offline market. There can be numerous opportunities where offline companies may wish to advertise on your site (depending on theme) and are generally easier to attract than we jaded IM market people!

I think you should check the prices of your competitors.
