How much shall I ask for running an adword campaign?

    Hi all,

I was working as an inhouse SEO before I have just begun working on my own. I am responsible from an adwords account for a US company.I have to prepare a proposal and I do not know very well pricing about PPC.

Could you please tell me how the pricing is done for PPC managements?

The account I am working on has 30.000 $ per month.
They want to increase to 45.000$ per month.

As far as I know, agencys take a percentage from the budget.
What is the percentage in general? %7, %5?
Are there some flat rates as well? How much?

    Thanks in advance

Personally, it depends on what you are offering to the client. Are you just managing their campaign, or are you providing anything else, such as landing page optimization, campaign strategy, etc.

As well, it depends on what it is worth to the company to have someone manage the campaign. Most places (in the US) ask about 10% to 15% of the media, but they do offer a wide range of services that go along with that too

If the company is small and they do not have a big budget, you could ask or a setup fee and a fee for campaign optimizing. The idea with the percent from advertising budget is good for big companies.

lol, you are the only one who can evaluate the importance of your job. If others charge 5% or 7% from the overall budget, this does not means that you should do the same. If you have outstanding results, and your clients are crazy about you, you can even charge 20%. But if you have no idea about what you are doing, and you are just playing with others money, keep the setup fee as low as you can.
PS: in the second case, the result will be always the same if you don't have results: 1) the company will change the ppc coach or 2) they won't spend on ppc anymore
So..as Google says: It is all about results :)

    hi,
you can even charge 10% of total budget. Charging fees for your expertise depends on type of quality/results delivered and from ur side time invested to perform tasks.
    Your knowledge/skills+ time/resources invested= Your fee

wow thats a pretty decent budget. I guess it really depends on the company as to how much they want to spend.

Also depends on the competition and average cpc.

And finally depends if you can come up with enough keywords to run a budget like that or even bigger
