Long term the site that I run that gets the most traffic gets 70% from Google, and about 12% each from Yahoo and MSN. The site probably attracts somewhat similar users to yours, it is a quilting site (as opposed to, say, a site about IPods that might attract younger, more internet-savy users).

Have you got any web traffic indicator program? Get statcounter or google analytics. Then you can know the exact traffic size.

    For my personal experience,
    Google : 60%
    Yahoo : 20%
    MSN: 10%
    All other SE's : 10%

    MSN 3%
    And the rest take 2%

Probably because I have different link building strategy, my result is as follows:

    New site (1-3 months):
    Yahoo: ~50%
    MSN: ~30%
    Google: ~20%

Once it became established (Traffic from Yahoo and MSN usually didn't change much, but a lot more traffic from Google):
    Google: 81%
    Yahoo: 14%
    MSN + Live: 5%

    It is kinda weird.

Most of mine comes from Google but lately quite a few more have been coming from MSN. Yahoo is still the lowest for me.

I don't know what's the search share but it's really low.

Is it any wonder why people don't use MSN much? Oftentimes, when I do a search on a topic, if I use MSN, sites that I know are major don't even show up in MSN. I think that's because they have not indexed it yet. And these are sites that have been online for a while.

At least Yahoo runs a close second to Google.

I hate MSN SE, It doesn't give relevant results and they advertise via adwords like hello giving competition money!

    For one of my sites:

    Num Perc. Search Engine
    136 49.28% Google
    125 45.29% Yahoo!
    6 2.17% MSN
    3 1.09% Windows Live
    2 0.72% AOL
    2 0.72% AOL UK
    1 0.36% Free
    1 0.36% Sympatico/MSN
    276 100.00%

I'm trying to improve it on google now, as it should be getting far more than 50% from there.
