If its 2G for $80 and fits the same specs as the link i provided, I will definately take someone up on this.

I don't know if India uses the same Dell models and RAM configuration though

1 GB Kingston DDR2, PC4200, 533 Mhz FSB Single Stick costs close to $100 in India.

I currently have 2GB (2X1 GB Kingston DDR2, 533 Mhz FSB) on my desktop.

I have 1GB (same config) on my VAIO, will upgrade to 2 GB in a weeks time. RAM prices are steep these days, they would crash in around 10 days.

AND, FYI, You cannot ship electronic/computer parts outside India through any Govt. or courier service.

I wont suggest buying RAM from ebay unless until you are buying something like Kingston or Hynix or some other good brand.

Most of the assembled RAMs comes just with testing warranty and there are a lot of scams on ebay who would send you faulty RAM. Even if you plan on buying from ebay make sure you know the exact config for RAM.

I choose who I buy from on eBay very carefully, not just computer parts. Though, if anyone care to recommend a good online retailer who accepts PayPal that would be great.
