How much ram do i need to make a image hosting?

I want to make a simple image hosting.It will be very simple. I get 5k daily views.I will use a vps.How much ram do i need to do that?Thanks for your replies

Here are more question for you.
1. how big a total file you hosted on.
2. did you allowed hot link image ?
3. is it 5K visitor was come from image thumbnail made by someone who have upload in your host ?

For the recent information i just give suggest for number 3.
If yes, i thing Dedicated is good for you. Why ?

Because 5K people must be browse other images. and there are more chance they have take alook at more than 5 click to seen more i images, if you hosted porn, it would be more crazy i thing, last time i have purchase 4GB dedicated RAM its down! And its all not because of RAM, but CPUS usages. Even its Hybrid VPS. If you getting of this situation, i thing you need some resources management to control which image have get load much! and thing about other next step.
