Hi, I have a question? If I buy a single PR 7 or PR 8 link from relevant niche, with the page having around 15 out-bound links, - Can I expect increase in PR in next update? - How much PR can I gain?
try to get more links, even PR 0, submit it to good free directories, but you can get easily PR 2-3 links. The PR is not important. More importants are search engine rankings, if you don't get visitors from search engines, why you need PR ?
I do think a relevant PR7 link is a good deal, if it doesn't cost too much. Should not stop you from getting free links from directories about your niche though.
Exactly - would you rather see the little green bar light up, or all the zero's in your bank account? I know which i'd rather go for!
Relevance has no affect on toolbar pr. PR is rounded, so the link could be a PR 7.01 to 7.99. You would need approximately 17 or 18 of those links to make your site a PR7 (approximately 85% of PR passes, divided between the number of outgoing links). I would look for a PR5 from a single link, assuming the link passes PR (isn't on googles hit list for selling links, doesn't have nofollow tags, and isn't going to drop on the next update). It's impossible to give an accurate answer because you have no way of telling what the sites current PR is.
And @ M' here, what Mjewel said is perfectly true. In addition to that, whether or not you can expect a raise in your PR in the next update will depend on G. If you might have seen, sites launched in August never got a PR in the last update, meaning that links bought then were effectively never considered. They will be in this one, though.
Welcome to the forum Tarr. While I'd prefer not to argue on why PR is important, it is for Link exch. and Link sales.
What I can say It will be very useful! I dont think any body can deteminate It exactly, PR depended on alot of things
First of all, I have to admit, building PR is, well... fun and addictive. It might take you 8 months or more to build trust with Google and get out of the "sandbox", but in the mean time, you can see your PR grow every several months. Not money in the bank by any means, but I can see why so many people obsess over it. It's a tangible reward of sorts for your SEO efforts. That being said, I think a couple high PR links from trusted/authority sites can be very helpful, not just for PR but for gaining trust. Also, when guessing how much PR is passed through incoming links, remember that PR is (close to) logarithmic, so that 85% of a PR 7 or 8 link could have a far more dramatic effect on PR than a PR 3 or 4 link. For instance, I have found that a single PR 6 link can bump a site withe a merely decent link profile to a PR 5. (By a PR 6 link, I mean a link from a page with a PR of 6, NOT from a site with a PR of 6 and a lower PR on the linking page). Of course, high PR does not in and of itself equate to high SERP rankings, but it at least puts you on the playing field. And as far as link (anchor) text goes, Aaron Wall is right - anchor text still seems to be of some value, but that value also seems to be dropping rapidly. However, a "natural" pattern of link growth, over time, including relevant links to internal pages, remains as important as ever.
it changes link quality and where link baund from...if your current PR is 0 it will jump i think 4 pr level . but your current PR over 4+ it wont jump more maybe will 6 as i know from my expriences. and also for high pr you must buy relevant site links. and dont forget PR is usefull with directory sites . it is not everything for the others.take care!!
yes man pr of site is equally important as it helpful in quality link exchange and link sales which can earn you some money
LMAO i got tonnes of PR7 and PR8 links to my site these 3 months, with your guesses how much PR do i get ?
