How much power does one PR9 link have

Hi,

I'm curious and have a question.

Lets say your ranking bottom of page one for a very competitive keyword, and you get a nice PR9 one-way backlink, do you think this would be enough to shoot you up to 1st-4th?

And there is no way any of the sites above you have a link as powerful as PR9.

Would you see a big jump?.... how long before you seen this jump?

Does this PR9 come from a page that is relevant to your own, if it is, you could see a huge jump (Possibly #1-3) within a few days of Google finding the link

 

Just depends how competitive your niche is. If it is really competitive - forget it - one link from a PR 9 site will not do it. First of all, is the site relevant to your site? If it is, you will get a big jump, but everything depends on your competition.

 

Lets say it's not related but it's a one-way link on a PR9 site .gov or .edu. Surely you would see some change, these links are near impossible.

 

In my opinion, it depends on how important that specific page is, a .gov may have a pr of 9 on its domain, but this may not be the case on deeper pages.

If your simply spamming a forum it won't have much affect. But if your featured on the homepage of one then..... lets write a case study!!!

 

It would also depend on how many other outbound links are on the PR9 page. If there's 100 links already on the page then you're not going to benefit that much because each link is sharing the PR9. But if there's only a handful of links on the page then it might be worth your while.

it depends on the pr of the page more than the website pr.
if the page is relevent and have pr 9 the benifet will be huge especially in less competetive keywords.

 

it does bring difference, but that should be naturally created link not that you buy it cos if you buy it, that will only give you hapiness for few days.

 

The difference would be enormous, but getting the link is the hard part!
