It isn't shown anywhere, but from what I see as my revenue and what people invest for the keywords I'm targetting, they're only giving around 20% maximum. At least that's for my niche Still, they are the best between all the others, by far.
yeah, google keeps 80%. that would be the worst percentage of any tier 1 ad network. that's more like the percentage they keep. they payout 7x% range.
This is not a fix figure, it will change every year, 83.7% in 2007, you may refer to the official fig.
After all you dont have the hassle of negotiating with advertisers, placing codes and then renegotiating it all each year, man one needs to have a huge marketing team for all these activities, atleast google is making it easier for us, well would that require 80% is debatable
According to other's replies, they give away 80% of the revenue to their publishers so they just keep 20% for themselves. It isn't proven though, but it is according to some messages and images. - Aquarezz
If they give 20% for sure -- All the publishers will make a lot more than what they are making now. They only pay peanuts and keep most for themselves. They have monopoly on this market. (no one else is even close)
if they paid 20%,everybody would make a lot less. if you got a click that made you $1,do you really think that advertiser paid $5 for that click? no,more like $1.25
Yea, google makes their money on the volume of advertisers, so they can afford to give more to their publishers
But if you know that increasing your percentage with 5% means that you will earn a few millions more, than I'm sure you would increase it with 5%. No matter what others say. The best earners keep using Adsense, and the bad ones go away. That's just what Google wants
The keywords that I target typically generates about $0.20 - $0.40 per click. After checking the average cost for those keywords(advertisers pay Google), I'd say that Google pays around 10% of the revenue to publishers. Either that or Google is ripping me off. LOL
it's because n00bs like you look at a tool that is for google search, not adsense and it's what an advertiser could pay,not what they do.
Let's refrain from name calling please. Thank you. So, what am I using again? You seem like you know a lot about nothing, so please tell me.
In 2008 Google Network web sites earned $6,714.7 million in revenues. "Traffic acquisition costs related to AdSense arrangements" were $5,284.3 million...that's 78.7%. Source: Google's 2008 annual report.
