Making money on the internet, I don't know if you really want to base your ideas from what you get here. As someone else mentioned, you need to have your own skill set and uniqueness. What have you thought of? What ideas have you toyed with?

If your looking to make an income, it takes hard work.
If your looking for extra pocket money, it takes hard work.

After you've done the hard work & it's making an income, then you can spend less time on it. I call my directories my 'retirement fund' :)

    Hi Seven7,

Are you actually interested in providing a genuine service here, or do you just want to take the submit fees?

Take submit fees? That would be selling links, a big Google no-no.... so no.

Like any other profession, you can make a living out of providing a quality service.

The easiest way I think is to buy the directory from someone else. I bought my directory a week ago and with no promotion at all, received my first bid today. I love shortcuts.

Why does it always have to be about making money? I mean, it is a directory, it isn't hard to run so expect to get back what you put into it. Making a website concerned only with making money seems like a hard way to go about things and directories are only a sure fire way to be disappointed.

Maybe you could start one, spend the 4$ a month for hosting and learn something.
Good free directory scripts like http://scripts.site-sift.com
