I'm still working on my first dollar. How much income have you generated Online in the last month? and if you care to share what type of Online work you do?
Me, that would be none. I have no Affiliate Marketing skills whatsoever in fact I have no idea on how to get started in the learning phase. My occupation is Plumbing to make ends meet but I would love to learn how to generate an income online someday. I thought it would be interesting to hear how people are doing when generating an income online and what type of Online skills/marketing are they using to do so.
I don't track what I make by the month. I just know that I make enough to pay my bills, so probably around 3Gs per month.
I made 8 quid last month, been running my blog for a couple months now so I'm pretty pleased with that In a years time I might be able to pay one weeks rent... haha
I guess I may try to google how to make a blog and then try to learn from there. I really do not even understand what exactly a Blog is yet so I will do some research.
I play Poker online and live at local casinos and poker rooms. I mostly grind in sit n go's and large mtt's and make around $30,000 a year which mostly goes towards college at the moment.
I'm earning enough to pay bills and mortgage but I signed up here in DP so I can earn more as suggested by my friend who is also a reputable seller here in dp. He invited me during our christmas party and since my small company can create products to sell here, I am taking chances.
More than enough for me to quit my 9-to-5 job. I might increase it soon with additional stream of income from other sources. Life is good
I make around $50,000 a year, but my work is seasonal, do not earn a steady income every month. The earnings come from Adult Friend Finder, selling PR websites, Adsense, selling my own products and more. Sometimes I get really lucky and someone offers to buy one of my websites for 5k or 10k. I am quite happy doing what I do. I do not like working outside my house, neither like working for someone else. I have a problem working fixed hours too. So, I simply love the fact that I can work my own hours, work whenever I feel like, pursue my hobbies and have enough time for my family and friends. I wouldn't have it any other way. I feel really, really sad for people who have to wake up every day almost, run off to work, sit behind a desk for 8 hours and then head back home. What a boring life! Here I can sleep when I want, go for a holiday when I want, and chill at the PC whenever I feel like. So, I would say much more than the money, it is the freedom of doing whatever you want that is my driving force to work online.
@Rooky - I would make a site that relates to plumbing. Do you have access to discounted plumbing supplies? You have a very valuable, and specialized knowledge, I would exploit that. Just a thought, but what if you wrote the symptoms of the plumbing problem, then offered the supplies they would need. Or, think about it, maybe come at it from a different direction? But, I know you can have a very successful site with your plumbing information. You can hook it up so you get paid directly by Paypal. As far as the site, don't get into anything too complicated. I would sincerely recommend weebly.com. IMO, you can make a pretty professional looking e-commerce site with Weebly. I have 2 sites there, and I love them. You can start off for free. They'll let you have 2 free sites, only at the footer it says powered by Weebly. If you decide to go "pro", then you can remove that footer, have 10 sites, and it's under $28 for 6 months. Just a thought.
Wow! Dear Rebecca, I have been waiting all day to thank you for making this post to me. I've been out resolving those Plumbing related needs today. I cannot thank you enough for your brilliant mind and caring enough to share this ideal with me. Let me start by saying that Yes, I do have accounts with the two biggest Plumbing Suppliers in my area and I've been with them for a very long time. One of them is a quite large franchise with several locations across the United States (Ferguson Enterprises). I do get the biggest discounts as well being that they give their Plumbers the highest discounts amongst contractors as far as I've been told. I have entertained this thought before but lacking knowledge on the internet marketing side of making it happen has stifled my motivation. There are many things to consider including the legal side of offering knowledge to the average person whom could misinterpret and or make mistakes, hence causing serious damage to their own property, therefore some type of disclaimer would have to be intact for the inevitable. My ideal would be to keep it simple and offer simple solutions to everyday occurrences including preventions and general knowledge that I'm comfortable with the average person performing. Another reason to keep it simple is due to the different codes followed by different States and other Countries. The ideal of selling Plumbing Supplies is a good one too however if I decided to go this route then I would try and simplify it by doing business with the closest locations to the customer. I would also need to discuss this with my Suppliers upper management to make sure everything is legal eagle. I'm sure they shouldn't fret it too much because they are in business to sell their products as well. I am really impressed with your insight and wisdom as well especially when you mentioned coming from a different direction. There is so much potential with this ideal and many others that usually sit dormant and are never pursued. It's that angle that we all know exist but if we aren't looking for it and unless it hit's us upside our heads, then we miss out on those opportunities. Thank you so very much for offering your expertise and how we can bring this idea to the internet. The key word is "We" if you are interested in going Pro. I do understand if you have other irons in the fire. Regardless, Thank you for being a beautiful giving person and caring enough about me to give me some direction.
Thanks Rooky, you're too kind. So, at least you know the subject of the website. To make money, you can directly sell plumbing products, Or you could become an affiliate of a plumbing supply company, Or write simple solutions to plumbing problems with a Google Adsense link at bottom, Or? What you should probably do is think of a good plumbing related domain name for your site. I've been using Namecheap.com for years, and I like them. You can get a domain for under $10, then sign up with Weebly for free. You have to point your domain to your Weebly site, but they have instructions, and I could probably help you with that. I would take the Weebly free account and fool around with it for a few weeks until you feel comfortable using it, and how your site is looking. Then, probably get a paid account with Weebly. You're also going to want to sign up with Facebook and Twitter to advertise your site. If you sell products, you can even create a store on Facebook for additional exposure. I have another site at Shopify.com, and they have a bunch of apps that I can just easily install to make Facebook storefronts for my site, even affiliate programs to market my products. I'm not that technical, but I'm doing it, there are a lot of tools to help you. p.s. If you wanted to try Shopify, they have a 30 day free trial right now. But they are slightly more complicated than Weebly. Anyway, so I would just start thinking along the lines of the concept of your site, what it will do, how to make money with it, a domain, where you will have site, and how to promote it...
I don't know how to thank you other than to succeed. It sounds like I need to dive in and start learning each aspect of positioning myself with an opportunity. I thank you again Rebecca for taking your time to point me into the right direction and for your help. I will surely try not to bother you with mediocre questions that I should be able to learn on my own following your recommendations, etc. This doesn't mean that I won't cry the S.O.S. if I'm sinking. My dentist told me one time something I never forgot. She said "Now I've done my part and Now you have to do your part". Thank you so much
