how much money do u spend when u started internet marketing? when i was student,i always attracted to internet marketing product but most of the time i find the price is $49.as a student who live in asia this is too expensive for me....my first internet product is $8, it change my whole idea about money making and geting out of rat race someday.....what bout you?
I never purchased any products before starting Affiliate Marketing, a couple of months later I was recommended a training course that I signed up, been a member for 8 months now, $40/month. I haven't spent a dime on other products or programs or tools like most when starting out. I think the biggest mistake is people not taking enough action and looking for the latest product or secret , a lot of the "make money online" products are simply rehashed and/or outdated. Funny thing is that the people who jump from program to program want to be spoon feed instead of taking consistent action. Rant over
When i first start my website, i dont marketing it at all. I start marketing only when i earn from adense, and i use it into adwords, the first investment is $100
In my opinion, the problem with nearly everyone when they start internet marketing is that they are lured by the thought of big bucks and not having to do much! I was in a position to spend lots of money when i first started (made redundant - so cash in my pocket and time on my hands...not a good combination!). So i bought loads of e-books as part of my "education" and wrote the odd article, done a bit a PPC, made a blog...all that jazz! But never really put enough effort in. Funnily enough, the e-book that made me change was actually one of those $7 resell rights books. I read it, done what it told me and just kept at it solid for about 30 days and saw results! Not great and not bundles of cash, but a few dollars from adsense and 4 re-sells of the $7 book. So spending loads of money actually got me nowhere. However a $7 book taught me how to "think" correctly. I learnt to stop sitting on my backside and reading stuff all day and pretending that i was actually "working" and started taking action! One of the best things i did was to remove myself from all these other marketers newsletters. My inbox was full of tips, tricks, sales pitches and i'd spend 4 hours a day just reading my e-mail.
At first, the only money that I spent was on a domain and hosting. Then I started spending a little money on advertisement.. You see when you start to upscale and your businesses get bigger you can't just handle their traffic all by yourself lol
I primary promotion / marketing technique is videos. My first point and shoot digital camera cost a little over $300 - US Dollars. That was almost 4 years ago. Now I'am getting ready to upgrade to a better camera this weekend, and its cost is around $350 US dollars. With that first camera I posted over 200 videos on youtube. I bought my wife a second camera about a year ago, but that is her camera and she gets a little mad when I use it a lot. So now I have to by myself a new camera.
that $8 i invest is the eye opener and foundation to internet marketing. without the ebooks , i dont know what internet marketing is about and never will think about it.
Hey unlike most of the people in this thread, I actually ended up spending close to a thousand dollars before any ROI, as a matter of fact it was more like 1500 bucks, and the 500 went to my personal coach. But that is because I didn't know anything about computers, and never even heard of internet marketing, so I got interested and decided this would be my career, and well it took a lot of trial and error, and I lost a lot of money, but now I have made that back many times over and I am not exactly where I want to be but making around 4000 a month now. So this pays my bills, I don't work. I am growing that income more and more everyday. All I can say is if this is what you want to do then don't quit. I haven't made millions (YET) but I am on my way.
Oh I actually did manage to make a few dollars from adsense, but I didn't count that because it really wasn't worth my time.
I spent $70 on a years worth of web hosting and a domain name. Did my own SEO and still doing it til this day. Just officially started affiliate marketing as of today. I'm sure i'll probably spend more in Adwords.
