How much money can you make with a parked domain?

Any domain can make good mony if have enough traffic. The income is based on the niche and its traffic

 

Normally i make around $0.50/day by parking it at sedo.
And sometimes i get as high as $2/day coz i got a few click from it.

 

It depends on the domain name. few domains make money, but mosy domains hardly earn anything if parked.

If your domain gets traffic, it will make money of course. But the money will never be as much as if you make it a proper website - this is the case 90% of the time....

But if your domain gets no traffic....than parking is absolutely useless. You need to make a good website with it.

Adsense for Domains was recently released. If you've got a good one, you may be able to make some half-way decent bank on it. Give it a go.

I think keywords and number of backlinks are the key issues for a parked domain to earn money.

 

i parked around 10 domains on sedo, and got almost nothing after 2 months. The domains were getting views but no clicks. So, I am really waiting for adsense for domains getting enabled here in India, atleast i can track it properly through channels.

Have you tried Namedrive.com?
I had the same problem with Sedo.I used to get impressions but no clicks.
But since I switched to Namedrive, I have been getting good CTR.

I had many of my parked domains on sedo as well, mixed results to say the least.

 

$5 to $1 a click on some of my domain names , but parked in noomle with adsense and ypn codes , increased the traffic because of the content and SERP and that what helped the majority of the domains to start producing revenue , in the past the old parking systems i used never helped to rise traffic for the domains

parking is good for you only if you have a very very generic domain name..otherwise you should try adsense..

 

There is money to be made with domain parking companies... If you are like I was and are suffering from paralysis of analysis or just plain lazy.

I have the following advice for you.

1). There is no magic bullet here and you have to get searching.

2). Sign up for the following websites. www.dnforum.com,www.domaining.com, www.parkquick.com(has a great youtube series with the top domain parking companies), www.dnkitchen.com.

3). check the links they visit as well.

4). these websites have the best free shit and case studies. DO NOT BUY EBOOKS OR ANY MAGIC SOFTWARE YET UNTIL YOU GET THE BASICS DOWN!!!

FYI : Top Domainers are now developing mini sites instead of parking them....



www.aeiou.com-is a domainer developer site. Can do a website for you for 289.00. One of the best. I feel ,afterlooking at his site that, he has a cookie cutter system. I think his system is called rapid mini sites.
Visit his website and then just look for a free 3 column wp theme and do basic seo.

www.sitegraduate.com (search for coupon on google, dnkitchen had one last week). instead of the 249.00 price tag, you pay 189.00 comes fully optimized and 10 articles etc...
