I have 2 gigs and I never really felt that it is on a lower side.

My PC works smoothly with Ubuntu (with GIMP running) + XP in VirtualBox

My desktop has currently 8GB RAM. I need a little bit more for my daily-job virtual machines (learning and installing for my upcoming vmware certification =)

3gb triple channel in my core i7 intel rig, but i will be going upto 6gb soon.

8gb in my amd phenom II x4 965 rig consisiting of 4gb corsair xms3 1600 and 4gb crucial ballistix tacer. I do video rendering so 8gb is very important to have for me :)

I got a 2GB Ram. It's already very good for me considering I do not run intensive programs. For games I got a good graphics card as well so yea all is good.

The funny thing is that a 1GB ram was already VERY GOOD a few years back. Now 1gb rams are like the norm. Maybe in a few years we will have 30GB Rams popping up and soon, 1TB rams!
