I running Wordpress on all my websites, and till now i use up to 3 keywords that i promote, and im interested how much keywords is best per website?
per website or web page? I don't think the amount per site is relevant if you keep everything related. I think more it is keywords per page. In my experience keeping your home page concentrating on your broad terms with your inner pages concentrating on exact phrases works well. By promoting and capturing placements for your inner pages you naturally develop authority for your broad keywords and phrases. In other words your site about widgets will become more of an authority on widgets as your inner pages on blue widgets, red widgets, big widgets, etc.. climb the ladder. As for the amount of main keywords and phrases per page I would keep them to 3 or 4.
I think Keyword density and proximity should consider for your use. There no such rules to use no. of keywords / per website.
Wow way off!!!! I have been working with SEO for a long time we can go up too 300 keywords and every project we do, we give them 300 keywords to go after. They arent all to the same page of course but they all lead to either the homepage or other pages if need be. Its after 300 Google may look into it, but I do know of a site pushing close to 400 and they are still fine.
you can talk about te keywrds per pages and not per site. i think this is more accurate. if you think so you can promote any number of keywords on the site
You can target as many keywords as you wanted, even on a one page. However, it seems hard to get all of them ranked in Google first page altogether - for just one web page content. The more you divided per page, the less important on each page. I would recommend you focus not over 5 keywords on each page to get maximum output for your SEO effort.
This is what i thinking! I choosed 3 pages on home page just because i want all 3 to be highly positioned, also on post pages i use those 3 main keywords + 3-4 keywords related to post!
I only target about 5 per website, but I get traffic on Google from over 1,000 different keywords. If you concentrate on 5 good keyphrases, you will get other long tail search results from those.
I'm pretty sure you can use as many as you'd like - the ones with less competition might even be indexed. But do you really want to keyword stuff your website to make it sound like a big marketing scheme? "Buy Cheap Weight Loss has never before been so Easy Weight Loss! Weight Loss Supplements are good for Lose Weight Fast!" -- --- Do you see what I mean? It's a nasty picture. My advice: Stick to 2-4. Focus on 2, and then work your way up. Quality content, please!
So far it is the best answer.. I am also using 3 to 4 keywords per page. Google only read 80 characters including the spaces so you must be tricky in selecting the best keywords..
