I get some, mostly business credit card offers and sometimes domain registration solicitations. The domains are tricky. I know better, but they try to take advantage of people who don't. Random registrars send emails about your "expiring domain" and offer to renew your registration. Of course, they are really trying to get you to transfer a domain to them, and they usually have ridiculously high rates. It's obviously just a way to trick domain owners who don't know much about domains.
I get the occasional domain renewal scam from some jerkoff registrar here in Canada that wants like $55 a year or some shit for a .com, and every few months the eBay seminar scammers send me their free invite to a seminar with a cheap meal, other than that it's usually the odd phone call every few months from some web development company that wants to design and host a site for me. LMAO I remember the first time they called, they started their spiel about how they wanted to help me set up my website, and I was like, ok well I own a whole bunch of domains, what site exactly are you referring to.. And the chick was like um, er it's your Kinky Sluts .org site. LMAO I dont even think they bother checking the name of the domain before they call, she sounded a little uncomfortable. Boy I could have had fun with that call, I was just annoyed though because they woke me up. (Like, learn time zones when you're calling from another zone, you called me at 7:30 am you dinks) I almost said, no that's ok, I've got enough kinky sluts around here to make the site work already, I don't need another one
TONS? How much does one email physically weigh? just kidding. I don't think I get much. I use a lot of spam filters and Google has pre-made ones that do a relatively good job. I get pissed though sometimes because they throw stuff I want to keep in the spam folder. But I suppose you have to take the good with the bad.
i have many domain .. so i have private as well as public whois ... believe me i get like 500+ spam daily !!!!
My name and address does appear on some of my domains, but the only junk mail I've got is from scammers claiming that the domains I have only just purchased are due to expire and can I pay over the odds to renew them
