I wouldn't buy that link at all. How many people do you really think click on that ad? Plus, they have had their PR smacked around a few times. 1700 Euros a month? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA.

    And ha!

What are you after, SERPS or click through. If its the click through, I would think you could do better than text links, and you can't spend all your advertisers budget with no indication of click through.

If it's the SERPS, I wouldn't do it anlyway, but they are nofollow.

Either way its a no go in my opinion.

    Yep, agreed.
As a user, I'd most likely never ever click those 10 links so on a traffic basis, it's useless. As for PR, I don't think it's worth 2.5k/month!

I didn't even look at their PR because it doesn't mean anything. They do have healthy traffic, though.

I'm sorry, man, but I don't know where you got the idea that they have that many backlinks.

    It's not even close.

But even if they did, even that doesn't mean anything. You look at how the ad will look, where it is placed, how the site itself looks, and, how many monthly hits they get.

If you still want to advertise with them, perhaps you can negotiate? Many Webmasters will, and do.

Hope it works out for you.

My main goal is clickthrough, so indeed it is a no go for me. Even if I negotiated down to say 1000 euros a month, I still need to get a hell of a lot of clicks to make it worhwhile, although they are quite targetted considering my offering.

I tried starting a campaign with Adengage, but they declined my ad because they consider me a competing site. Bah whatever, I'll just look for other places. Any ideas?

At the price I'm willing to pay per click, with Adwords I get only about 20-40 clicks per day. I'm looking for other venues to advertise and get clickthrough.

Hmm... i suggest you to become a pro at adwords then you'll probably get as many click as you want. What ad quality does google show for you?

almost all my traffic is from content network. Even the keywords with OK quality, I'm not ranking high enough to get on the first page most of the time. Yet the content network doesn't generate that much, I spend only 10% of my daily budget roughly.
