How much is PR4 ad space worth?

I am curious about this, primarily because a site I use and love is having trouble with ad revenue. As the title states it is a PR4 site with over 69,000 pages. The site also has a lot of dedicated traffic along with new traffic everyday. I am trying to get more ad revenue for the site and would like to hear opinions on a good ballpark figure. Thank you.

It depends on the site niche, the quality of the content on the site and the primary countries of the visitors. Without this info anyone who gives you a dollar figure is going to be purely guessing and the real figure might be +/- 1000% of what they guess.

OKay I will give a little more detail. It is a fast growing free chat community. I would say that most of the visitors are from the U.S. but the site gets a lot of regular visitors from overseas as well. I haven't posted a link because I don't know if I am allowed.

Free chat? Not sure what that means, but if you are going to attract advertisers you will need to get a better idea of who your visitors are and what types of products / services they would be interested in.

John Chow's site is a PR3, and I doubt he will ever sell. The revenue you are generating from it now should give you a good idea what it's worth to you. Someone might think they can make a little more with it so maybe 1.5 x your worth. Site owners want fast ROI so three year value is not practical unless your site is in the six figures annually now.

I'm not sure whose site you are referring to but, the site I was talking about http://www.oohya.net I know the owner isn't going to sell, I am merely trying to help the owner out by selling some more ad space for him. I am just trying to get a decent ball park to ask for when selling ad space (most likey a banner ad that is thrown into a rotation and is shown on every page). I like the site immensely so I am trying to help out the owner. Thank you.:)
