How much is my forum worth?

1.) Is this a w@rez forum ?
2.) How much do you pay for hosting, & paid links , if any ?

 

I assure you that's not true.

See if you can find one that sold for that much on DP or SP and post the link here. Otherwise, I hope you have real experience with forums to base your estimate on.

 

i also run a couple of forums and as per my belief this forum can be sold easily for anywhere between 2 - 2.5k USD rest depends on its niche too.

 

I think nearly everyone in this topic is massively undervaluing his site. You'll be lucky to find a site with such a big forum go for less than $5,000- $10,000 dollars MINIMUM on the various website marketplaces.

Of course this is assuming the forum stats are genuine from real and non paid members.

Yes, i also believed that it is currently worth about 15k-20k.

All members are genuine, all the topics are genuine, all the posts are genuine.

NO PAID MEMBERS, or Posting done.

I guess i will keep the site for awhile, make it more popular and big and then sell it off.

its pretty much as popular as it can get. Sell it now while its doing good, if its for something like the iphone sell it right now while the iphone is still retaining its appeal. You gotta look at it from the niche view if its on a product and the product is getting old sell it now before you have a worthless forum on your hand.

 

I can get it more popular, maybe get it up to 100k members and get the uniques up to 20k a day.

I dont think Forums ever get old, when its active

 

depends if your doing stuff for like a product, but if its a general thing than no.

 

It's a warez forum, so that significantly reduces it's value.

Up to $150K from one person, $500K from another! For a site that is making $1,440 to $2,400 a year gross? Holy crap! Who the f*ck drops half a million on a site when it will take them Atleast 208 years to earn it back, if all revenue is profit! You people are out of your damn minds. 10-15 months earnings. Thats what its worth.

Like I mentioned, I just sold my forum with almost similar stats this week for $21k - it's a leader in its niche. It was sold within 12 hours at SP but I didn't pick the highest bidder. You can expect between $15k to $30k.

Fortunately, people don't value your site at 12x earnings once you've reached a certain size. FYI, I sold because I didn't have the resources (financial and technical) to take it further.

 

you have to optimize the forums to make more money, right now its only worth 12-24 months revenue max. but with all that traffic he isn't optimizing it hes losing thousands a month guaranteed by letting it sit there only making a couple hundred a month.
