How much is my forum worth?

I've had it for about 2 years and it gets about 600-700 uniques a day. I don't make any money apart from $20 from the links in the footer, this is because I'm banned from google adsense and nothing really works(Made $90 from bidvertiser but it took along time).

    VB support license has expired.

Anyone have an idea as to how much this could sell for?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

10-12 months revenue is the standard.

Why you site was banned by adsense? That is terrible. The rule of the thumb is you ahould be making $500 to 600 per month and 10 times is around $5,000. Did you try affiliate promotion and direct ad selling?

I was banned cause I clicked my own ads along time ago on a different site. I've not tried affiliate promotion and I sold some adspace before but not a lot.

4 clicks = Total: $1.18. (been up a day or two)

I lost a few $ cause I wanted to change the ad category and it removed all my previous earnings. I can make more if i use the topic hack where it displays a bigger below the first post. I don't feel like trying to make money from it without adsense.

I tried selling some banner ads. Can anyone suggestion an alright price per month for a banner ad? 468x60.. maybe rotation maybe not.

But forums are tricky to valuate. While the stated AdSense earning would put site at around 10 times monthly income, forums need to be looked at also from the members numbers and their activity there.

I would say take your average AdSense monthly revenue and multiply by anything betw. 5-10 :) Depends on buyer and how much he/she finds your stats trustable and the forums member base and their posts genuine.

If you look for an exact number answer I am afraid you won't get one and if you do than I would question it any day of the week ;)

Well that's what i was thinking, cause there's a lot of ground work which goes into it. You can't just wake up one day and make a forum which has lots of activity + members. I might think of selling it.

But best way to valuate is simply putting it on the market :) Let it to determine what the value is. Just make sure you set your reserve price to level which if achieved you are happy with.

Let me know if you decide to put it up for sale I would love to keep an eye on it as it looks like a good little earner to me.
