Yeah, I wouldn't want anybody knowing I had no money either. ;)

The exact same thing happened to me in 2004. I don't really trust Paypal, and I also question the motives of the person who started the thread. Paypal isn't secure, and it is best to avoid keeping large amounts of money in your account.

They can conveniently of accuse you of a bogus fraud charge and just freeze your account. I only use them because everyone else does. Those of you who are listing your account balances aren't wise, since they could be subject to being hacked. The results of this poll indicate that most people are smart and cash their money out as soon as they get it.

For the few of you who said you have hundreds of thousands in your Paypal accounts, I STRONGLY advice you to get that money transferred to your bank account. Paypal can and will do a convenient "freeze" on your account, and you won't get it back for months, if at all. If the money belongs to people you do business with, and you don't have it in your bank accounts, you're done.

Speaking of payment programs, Neteller sucks to. My money got frozen because of the stupid U.S. government's ban on online gambling and the arrest of the Neteller CEO, so my account has been frozen. Screw all online payment programs, rather it is Paypal, Moneybookers, or Neteller. Your money IS NOT secure, and is subject to being frozen, and you can never get it back. Anybody with grands in their account is an idiot.
