How much is email worth to you?

    Hi fellow marketers.

I have a simple question for you. How much would be 1 sent email be worth to you if you can target:

1.) nothing, the mail is completely untargeted
2.) targeted by persons age, gender
3.) targeted by country, age, gender
4.) targeted by country, age, gender and general interest in life (say....some are into pets, some into getrichquick, some in food supplements)

Mail is fresh, not spammed and willingly given by his owner. I am not talking about selling an email, just selling a service of sending an email. Btw... you could also give an estimate about how much is it worth if it's sold.

You can take any of the mentioned filters and combine them in a package that suits you and tell me how much is it worth?

One more example to straighten things up.... I know a company that runs online phone book and they have a massive user list with many personal user data. If I want, I can pay them 10 cents per 1 sent mail to the specific group inside their whole email list. Suppose I am targeting only male people who live in one specific town. And their price is 10c per mail.

I was asking about how much would price increase if one cold provide even better targeting with age and interests? I know it' depends on the type of list...but what if list is so big (1M), that you have 5000 people who are interested in marketing tips, 15.000 people who are interested in cosmetic, 10.000 people who are interested in winter sports..... You cover many areas of interests. And you also know their personal data(age and gender).

Anyway, I have no idea about that so any help would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks!

This question is very much targeted on segmentation issues. I am afraid as there may be some positive answer for this problem. I myself is very much keen to know about this thing as well.
