    Hello,

How much is a PR8 domain (without taking into account the cost of the domain name) ?

    TIA,

    Deris.

I would go higher than that - and scarce as hens teeth.

I have seen a PR7 domain selling at 12k in 2005. So do you think a PR8 domain has a value of mid-xxx,xxx ?

    Could well do.

This site is PR7 but sold for 700 million. However it was a working, viable site with staff, infrastructure and premises etc.

It would seem foolhardy to buy a PR8 domain without the content and the business behind it. If you don't I suspect you'll lose your advantage very quickly.

So, this discussion becomes fairly pointless without the domain you are actually appraising.

In my opinion PR8 domain would worth only if it's with content.

It wouldn't be a real PR8 without a lot of content, I work for a news agency and our site is PR8 just by the nature that our content is syndicated everywhere.

But the content is worth less if it doesn't have the business to continue building it. If you just buy the site it will spoil quickly.

Imagine digg.com without the people who continue to develop, moderate and promote it. I suspect there's quite a team working there.
