Thread title ^ idea being, they're all taken, and theres only 50,000 of them(ccc.com), meaning as the internet grows their value goes up and up.... just seems like a fun investment for me to ponder into.
There is really no good answer for this b/c they all vary in price. I can tell you that you will have to shell out a good chunk of cash. It definitely has been a good investment for most domainers.
All LLL.com's are taken, therefore as explained their values have risen, of course, the one's with premium letter's are more expensive than the one's that are not. I own NUJ (dot) com, maybe you'd like to make me an offer!
The can sell for a big price depending on the buyer, if he or she has a site with three initials then the domain would be perfect. Mybb.com was sold for 7 thousand pounds but it took four years negoitating from 25K to 7K
Do not bother to waste your time on checking their availability. They all have been long taken and since they would be treated as an excellent investment by their owners, there is no chance of them letting it expire! Regards, RightMan
Thanks, It is pretty difficult to get good domain names these days. I find Domain Samurai very helpful and more convenient than any online tool I came across. It is free, so you might benefit from it!
Mosilager, just out of interest, how much would you charge for NUJ.COM? hmm, wish i had gotten on the band wagon earlier.
They are only worth what someone is willing to pay people can make up prices all day long but it means nothing unless you get offered it or sell it.
these are just suggestions and you can customize everything. which tools do you use to look up free domain names for your niche or product? If I want to go into the breadknife niche I could just type into DS: breadknife breadcutter loafblade ... and by the push of a button I get all the free domains with the right prefix, suffix, and ending. I find this very useful, indeed, and much more convenient than checking each url at my registrar.
I recently got 4 x 3 letter .tel domain names, 1 x 3 letter .org and 1 x 3 letter.me for $8 each..... they are still around. I got gm1.org...... for $8 but the when I last looked gm1.com was going for $10,000. Maybe its just the .com one that are pricey? What about liberalisation of domain naming, so .co and .xxx and .sco and .travel etc.....
even more, ex: s*e*x*.*com .com is always the top extension in the world. .org is very popular as well, but gm1 is not a 3L that is 3C or just ccc 3Characters LLN .org, which there are too many left available as they are worthless unless has meaning of course. .tel and .me still have many premium letters 3L available for hand-reg and they are not worth more than reg-fee usually unless developed or have good acronym meanings that a enduser needs.
Domains like qhh.com, pwq.com, nnm.com 8n6.com means absolutely nothing and are worthless for most people. It feels like im typing: fgdfvkgbtuvkctykcryttv gibberish. It's not like you own fox.com, car.com, mac.com sex.com do you...?
