I know this is relative and theoretical, but average niche, with little link building, how much indexed pages in google need to get some steady traffic (around >500/day) ? I would really like to hear some personal experience with this.
Traffic does not relate directly to the number of indexed pages. A website can have only a few pages and be getting thousands of visitors a day. Also a website could have thousands of pages indexed but have quite low traffic. If you are wondering about an ideal number of pages check out some of your top competitors in the search engine rankings.
Vansterdam's right. I have two websites, both with approx. 50.000 pages indexed. One has more than 1500 daily visitors from google, the other one barely 10
It will vary greatly, according to your niche and the quality of your pages. But you don't need anywhere near 500 indexed pages to get good traffic. I have just under 200 indexed pages and get about 2,300 unique visitors a day.
Yeah even smaller site could get high traffic, focus on importance and quality of your contents rather than having much pages indexed but has less quality.
