Just wondering...I just opened a proxy today and I made a few bucks with Adsense, and almost a buck with Adbrite. It's weird because Adsense is only in the main page, while I have 10k impressions of Adbrite which are in everysurf page and I have more clicks in Adsense and Adbrite... So, what about you guys?
I was thinking of starting a proxy as well, so curious obviously how much you guys are making as well.
nice earnings..How many proxies earn this couple of hunderds? Can you post screenshots of earnings?i'm glad to see your earnings. thanks
In my first month of having proxy sites i earned $160 in 3 weeks. It is rather easy to be earning $10-$20 a day with proxy sites. Its keeping the traffic coming and keeping them going thats the key. Will.
But how come those traffic come without promoting? Where can they find your site? Isn't it competitive?
It is very competitive, but you could get free high traffic just by submitting your site to proxy listing sites.
Or like i did you can get free traffic by searching for key proxy words. I found a domain name that got type in traffic from the moment i registered it ok not much but about 5-6 people a day with out promoting direct to my site. The keyword the domain is registered for gets according to word tracker around 600 searches a day. Will
I ran one briefly, and made all of $5 from it, with AdSense. I do not recommend running a proxy site if you are looking to make money!
I am sorry bit have to disagree proxy sites can make a nice daily amount if you have a strategy for bringing traffic to the website. It takes a small bit of effort at first however after you have a steady flow of traffic to one site its simple just keep adding new proxy sites. You can easily make $5 per proxy site per day. Will.
I once owned a proxy site.. I spent money for traffic and I earned a good amount from adsense. Point is.. if you have a way of brining in heavy traffic that doesn't have to cost you anything, then go for it.
At one point i needed around 11 to earn $20 a day. Now i can do it with two, sometimes just the one. This is from a couple of months of reading and learning, changing tactics. You could now say i have learnt most of the proxy site tactics and strategies that are currently available. Will.
Wow, that's nice. I want to learn, but I don't have the time to read that 300 page thread, I will try to check it out though.
Ok, I'm honestly on the fence with proxy sites. I have made good month with proxys (I paid my rent last semester with the money I was making from my proxy sites) BUT I will say that the traffic can come and go very quickly, so I've had great times and horrible times. I found in the end, the period of time that I was getting good traffic with the proxy is very slim. Basically you are looking for US/CAN traffic usually from students in schools. If you are not careful you will start getting foreign traffic and it a) will not convert well and b) get you smartpriced. In the months since getting heavily into proxies I've seen my CPM go down dramatically and also seen that the cost of upkeep for the proxys does not match what I had been putting in to continually buy new domains so they are not blocked by the US schools that i want to get traffic from. Bottom line i was putting in more than i was earning and will no return on my investments, i've gone else ware to look to make money.
