Well it entirely depends on what kind of services you have on offer and specifically what kind of results you can guarantee.

Seems to me that you are trying your services at this point, so I would suggest, offer your services at a 'safe' or trial fee before getting the hang of the market.

What people charge can also vary greatly depending on which part of the world they are in.

If you already have the skill and the knowledge, then I would research what others in your part of the world are charging, I think that will give you a much better idea.

In addition to what others are saying so far, you will also want to consider your expenses and time involved. Are you a professionally established company, or just doing it from home. Offices carry more expenses so don't cheat yourself. Price accordingly based on your needs, not someone else's. You should be making anywhere from 30-50% profit margin. If you can't make that much, then keep your day job.

Also, are you any good at SEO? Not everyone is. If you are just getting started, you may want to lower your rates to justify your learning curb. SEO these days is not for the faint-of-heart. You need to be good at it in order to sell it. In essence, you are selling a non-tangible item; making it easier for the customer to dispute the charge with their bank in cases where a credit card was used to pay for the service.

I think it's depend on what kind of service and if you could give them a guarantee 100% succeed they will pay you in any price you want. Guarantee is the most important for the costumer :D

You should charge your clients depending on the type of project that you are working on. Time spend and how much is your time worth?

Are you focusing just on SEO?

Prices usually tend to be based upon the amount of services you are giving to a client - I agree with everyone - do some research and price accordingly.
