How Much Hosting Do I Need to Launch a Small Forum in Milan?

Hello, I’m planning to create a small community forum. I expect maybe 200–300 members at the beginning.
How much disk space, bandwidth, and RAM should I look for? Is GTHost Italy VPS good? Any feedbacks?
I don’t want to overspend but also don’t want my site to crash.

That's a pretty small forum, you'll be fine on any host - even shared hosting.

Hi, I'm about to launch a new discussion forum and need hosting advice.
Should I start with shared hosting or go straight to a VPS?
How much RAM and bandwidth would a small but growing forum require? Is RegVPS.com vps trustworthy?
I'd love advice from experienced forum owners.

Most forums fail. Go with the cheaper option and upgrade as the forum grows.

I'm really surprised you're still so insecure when it comes to buying hosting.

For static websites or projects with minimal dynamic content, shared hosting is usually sufficient, since administration and resource allocation are centralized on the provider’s end. However, when predictable performance and isolated resources are required, a VPS becomes a more suitable option due to its dedicated vCPUs, RAM, and independent disk space. hostpro.com offers KVM-based VPS solutions using NVMe SSDs, which ensure stable IOPS under load. Daily backups are retained for 30 days and support both full and selective restores. The final choice depends on scalability requirements, the level of control, and the nature of the workload.
