Depends on how often the page is crawled.

    Tip: Check the cache date.

a high PR generally means the site gets indexed a lot faster, and thus backlinks are found faster.

some articles I've submitted to ezinearticles.com showed up on the front page of Google for the keywords I wanted in less than a day.

you'll get indexed fast with the higher pr but if you are wanting google to count it as a link back to your site, that can take 3-6 months

It depends on the search engine on how they will find the backlinks of the site and which of the links they will indexed.

what do you mean do you want to see if there really link your site?

for me you can try link:yourdomain.com then find the site that you know you have link with them...

    Perhaps.. Summing it up all:

    1. Depends on the PR of the page on which link actually exists (More PR, More Bot Traffic)

    2. Frequency of content changes on that page( Cnn.com is a news site and content changes are quite often, hence crawl rate is automatically made fast by the cralwer, and thats for mostly all news sites)

    3. The number of backlinks( Just one link, then totally depends on the link when it gets crawled, coz when it does, only then your site will be cralwed)

    4. A forum link is easier to get, and gets crawled much faster(depends on the forum though) yet is a reliable method to get site indexed in 24 hrs..

    Regards
    LKS

depends on many factors. if you are getting backlinks from a top level site with pr7 then it will crawl your site in 1-4 days. If its a very small sites it may take even 30 days to find your site. Some directories also take a lot of time to approve links.

it depends on one single thing

The duration of crawling of the site that is giving the backlink. Suppose u have a backlink from DP then i think this is crawled more than 1 time a day. this will get u backlinked immediately.

It all depends.....I would recommend all the points listed by lovekills and would like to add this as well:

Depends upon the website, whether it is regularly updated, or how often crawler visits your website. It can be anything between the options you have mentioned and may be regulary..

    hope iam not wrong...
