DP is great place for every thing. Instead of selling Sig Place develop your favorite sites and advertise proudly at your signature. Placing a link at signature to own site is a thrilling experience.:)

To me signatures should not be for sale. It's a *SIGNATURE* something that identifies me! Therefore I think you should not sell your signature space.

    Dear Friends,
I think the Clotings you are using also identify you. Your website which also identify you. Don't you put trusted person like Google's Ads in it? If those are possible why not signature? I think it is quit possible. The person should earn from his popularity and reputation.

As someone said that if your Signature matches with the post you have done you can get more traffic . People would be more interested to go and visit the links. That means you will get high CTR otherwise it will be average. I mean for the other links.

    Thanks.

I dont plan on selling more then 2 links total in my sig (so 1 more, holding off on that till i get more posts). The reason is that Sig space does drive traffic, and does have give decent SEO benefits.

Of course the massive amount of SEO benefits are in MSN which generally isn't the biggest concern we have. I think i've seen a benefit in Yahoo as well but i havent done an actual test.

As for SEO effects in Google.. well I dont think they care much about sig links, but they do add them to the google links for a site.

Good post. Our sig space is as worthy (or worthless) as far as our reputation go. You will probably get very targetted traffic from the forum as oppose to anything from SE. But I didnt know sig space can be bought until now

But serious site owners will probably retain it for their own use.
