That's a cute way of using someone else's screen shots. Don't prove yourself to me, but to the people who you want reading your blog about "making money". That is, if you want to look credible. But hey, if I was making $1,200 a month from "each blog" I would have paid someone $500 to make a nice blog theme and probably wouldn't have asked people how it looks on a forum. But hey, that's just me!
Well I think it's cute how you waste time out of your own day worrying about me and my posts, visit my profile, and trying to find ways to criticize...haters really make me feel special. I may be somewhat new to this forum, but I am not new to being the entrepreneur that I am. Don't worry about my credibility that's my business. And don't worry about my income because that's my business as well. I don't have to use somebody else's screenshots and once again I don't have to prove myself to you. And if you really paid attention to my post regarding my blog (which you didn't) you would have realized that I didn't ask anyone to to say anything about my blog's theme or how it looked, I asked them to "pick my blog apart" because I value the opinions of the people reading my blog and that's is one of the driving forces of a good blog. And I don't have to pay anyone to design anything for me because if I had the time I could design my own theme. See unlike you, I have no reason to criticize anybody on this forum or what they do I just share the knowledge that I have obtained as an entrepreneur to help the next entrepreneur. My time is valuable and I have no more time to waste on you or this useless conversation, you should consider doing something constructive with your time. Have a nice day!
Ok, another noob question coming up... What is the benefit to buying a .com or whatever over the basic blogspot or wordpress? Do search engine treat .com's different or its just like a personalized number plate for your car, means nothing really but might catch the eye ?? Thanks in advance :]
If you have a domain and you already blog at blogger, why not redirect your domain to your current blog or start a new one. Hosting will only set you back about $5-$6 per month. I found a GREAT host right here at DP. I simply posted a thread in the Web Hosting forum stating what I wanted in a host and the offers came rolling in. I pay around 6 bucks a month via PayPal and have all sorts of options should my site grow large in the future. For self-hosted blogging, it's WordPress hands down. It has become the industry standard. It is easy to update and manage...not to mention the hundreds of plug-ins and extensive documentation available. You can't beat it and it's FREE. As for .com vs. subdomains on blogspot or WordPress....your own domain is always better. When you blog on Blogger or WordPress.com, they still have a say over the content and ads that you post. They can delete you blog at any time for no reason. It's just better to host your own. Dot com domains have always been standard when you're serious about an online endeavor. They are just more professional. Keyword rich domains are always loved by Google.
If you buy domain, it is a matter of money and time investment. You can try making sales pages in Hubpage or Leses, if it is going well then make your own landing page in wordpress blog (with your domain).
You can't sell advertisements on your wordpress.com blog. Plus, your wordpress.com or blogger blog could get pulled down at any point of time. With your own domain, you are in control, can customize it the way you want, and you don't have to worry about losing your blog.
$10/year for a .com domain name and around $8/month for unlimited hosting from Hostgator. If you do not want to spend much per month for hosting, then I recommend you Bizzhost.com for hosting. If you use Bizz host, then the cost will be around $20 per year. (including domain renewing) Space: 1 Gb Bandwidth: 10 Gb Support: Awesome Server uptime: 99.9%
use free blog like blogger or wordpress. it is no cost. but you need to pay if you need to host domain
