With themes for popular scripts such as phpLD there are a lot of free options out there; so paid themes such as this one really need to have that extra 'oomph' in order to attract attention from users. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice theme; however your best bet is to look into the various free themes available and ask yourself "Why would someone buy my theme instead of using a free one?" From what i've seen, you would probably get more luck selling a unique theme if it was specific to the buyer; ie relevant to their directory, business etc etc. You could consider offering customization as part of your selling price. You could also consider selling sponsored link spots and then releasing the theme for free. Alternatively, you could also consider marketing this theme towards people who make their money selling sponsored links... so you sell them the theme, then they go on to sell sponsored links and release it for free. Just my two cents =)
No worries at all; i'm going though the same thing right dilemma with two Wordpress themes I coded - I opted to sell sponsored links but as of this post have not had any feedback, so i'll more than likely be considering alternative options. All the best in whatever you choose to do =)
