    I have contacted the domain owner of Doctorwhoseries.com to buy the domain.

    "Doctor Who Series" keyword getting about 50k monthly local search on google.

    So can I be able to rank 1 on google for this keyword if I buy this domain and how much should I offer to the domain owner?

    The domain was only registered 3 days ago & has no traffic.
    Base your offer on your projected revenue stream - how much do you think you can earn/month if you develop the site? Don't offer more than 6-10 months revenue. IMHO it would be hard to generate revenue on this topic (few Adsense ads on this topic) even with high traffic counts.

    It will also be hard to get 1st page ranking for "doctor who series" - look at the 1st page competition - Wikipedia, Amazon, BBC, IMDB, Youtube, Syfy...
