I used to charge $14.95 to review a site. That gave them permanent listing.

You can see the different review (not listing) options at Authority Directory

You have a few different choices for review.

Nothing at all. In our 8 year history we've never charged for a listing and don't charge now. It would cost you to get reviewed though unless your a genuine charitable organisation whereas the listing again is free including the waver of review fees.

Here's a link price calculator that will give you an estimate. The estimate it gives will give you a whenweseo value rating of 3 stars.

You're right! All these tools are programmed using one (or a few) persons opinion - what that person actually values - who knows

In my opinion best to try and learn as much as you can and base decisions on that knowledge and associates you have built up a level of trust with.

It's a bit of fun that's all. Something is only worth what someone else will pay.

I agree - much like the pr predictors or other systems for rating. Have to take them with a grain of salt and a smile.. :)

I agree completely. Tools like this...including my own...should be used as a starting point in your research, not the final answer. I start with my top value directories as a short list to check further. There are some directories on the list with high PR and Alexa that don't drive traffic because all of the Alexa comes from webmasters not the search engines. So those directories are selling PR not traffic. Which obviously would lower the value of the link.
